About the Designer.
I am Tatiana Hazel, a Mexican multi-disciplinary artist from Chicago. While I have been making music for a majority of my life, fashion has only recently become a serious endeavor.
I have always been interested in fashion and styling, but one day it occurred to me that I had ideas in my head that I wanted to bring to life. I have never studied fashion or had any formal training but in October of 2017 I bought my first sewing machine and fabrics and taught myself how to sew.
My intention with my designs was only to design clothing for myself for my performances. I began to post my outfits on Instagram and the positive response and demand for my designs was overwhelming. I began by making/selling custom clothing from my studio apartment, taking all of my orders via Instagram DM's.
In November 2017 I decided I wanted to create my own clothing line, and I have been designing ever since. All of my fabrics are sourced on the southside of Chicago and all of my clothes are handmade out of my workshop in Belmont Cragin, the neighborhood I grew up in.
Fun clothes that FIT.
My goal for my clothing line is to design clothing that promotes individuality. I think what attracts people to my clothing is that it draws from several different time periods while adding a contemporary twist.
I mainly work with materials that stretch and conform to the body. I want to create styles that stand out, while also accentuating all body types.
